On Tuesday April 9th our Self Titled 2nd album will boldly leap into the 22nd century when it becomes available for the first time as a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD!

It was released on No Chaser Records in November 2011 as a vinyl LP, and we still hope plenty of folks will pick up the remaining copies from the limited pressing but we also hope that far more of you out there will be able to enjoy it while motoring away or at your desk at work, or while you enjoy a walk around town through your headphones.

Hey there Frontier Folks, it's been a while since we updated this here blog and we want you to know it's because we've been busy working on our 3rd yet to be titled record. We're hashing it out FFN style, which means we record it ourselves, guided by our brilliant Steven Oder, in a studio that isn't really a studio.

Currently we're working on overdubs. We've got 15 tunes, though likely only 10 will make the final album. Some we've been playing for the past year or so, but most are yet to be played outside of the basement as we captured their births on computer tape.

We just played a couple shows last weekend in Cincinnati and Richmond and we'll be doing other regional weekend shows while we continue to work the new songs out, so keep a look out for pop up shows in the months to come.

We're also super excited to announce that our Self-Titled Record will soon be distributed nationally thanks to the incredibly helpful hard work of our friend and fellow Kentuckian Mr. Daniel Martin Moore. More on this story as it comes. For now please have a listen to that album as well as our debut, Pearls over on our Bandcamp page. You can even buy one there if you're so inclined.

We continue to work on a documentary as well about all things FFN. More on that as it develops.

Opening for Jason Isbell & 400 Unit Nov. 3rd @ Taft Ballroom

We're most pleased to be opening for Jason Isbell and his 400 Unit at the new Taft Ballroom on November 3rd. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 day of show. We're big fans of Mr. Isbell and are quite happy that the Taft has asked us to play. We'll be on WVQC.org for Salina Underground on Oct. 22nd to talk about the upcoming show, as well as the documentary being made about the band as well as our plans for our next record. Thanks to all the folks that came out to Dayton Music Fest and Cincypunk Fest. We had a killer time at both and hope all those folks can make it out to the Taft in a few weeks. A little break followed by Dayton Music Festival.

Hey there folks. Thanks for a great summer all over the place. At home, in Dayton, Chicago, Lima, Toledo, Ft. Wayne, Marion, Lexington, and at the legendary Whispering Beard Folk Festival (where we remain NOT a folk band), we made a lot of friends and played a lot of great shows. We'll have the next month or so off until a gig at Canal Street Tavern as part of the Dayton Music Festival on Saturday October, 6th. Dayton may just be the best city we've ever encountered to play rock and roll music in, and Canal Street Tavern is a place that has housed endless nights of great tunes. We're currently participating in documentary being produced all about the band and are excited to see how it turns out. Check out some of the productions the filmmakers have been part of already here. We're also likely to be playing Cincypunk Fest at the new Southgate House in October as well. We're waiting for official details and we'll post them once we here. Tell a friend to buy a record and we'll see you in October.
